Simplicity + Style + Soul

This summer has already been a complete blur! With a new job and new responsibilities, I haven’t had much time to focus on the blog.
While getting adjusted to my new routine of planes, trains and automobiles – I’ve had to downsize my makeup bag essentials to simply just that, essentials. However, it’s become very easy for my summer weekends away for a real fast glam face in no time. Toss it in a suitcase and you’re done!
Here’s a quick rundown of what’s been working so far:

With the weather fluctuating to extremes and the feeling of your face melting, this has been my go-to base for that next to nothing feel.
If you prefer a high shine finish with a sheer to medium coverage, this is for you. It doesn’t settle into fine lines or creases, so perfect for long term wear with no dryness.

No matter what the season, I’m constantly dry around the nose and chin area. I was recently recommended this gem at my local MAC and it’s now a daily staple in my routine, as a primer before base. It also doubles as a natural highlighter on the high points of the face when you don’t feel like packing anything extra in your bag.

You NEED to run to Sephora and pick this one up! I normally don’t pick up anything limited-edition but this is absolutely beautiful, and I love it beyond. Perfectly multi-shaded and has the most natural bronze effect on the skin. A must-have!

 4)      ILIA Multi-Stick
Versatile stick products, especially for cheeks, are my go-to while travelling. I love this tangerine shade and enjoy the natural radiance it gives my skin. With avocado oil, vitamin E and 72% natural ingredients-- its safe to say that it not only gives amazing colour payoff, it does wonders for your skin too.

5)      MILK Lip colour
With early wake up times, I often manage to leave the house (or hotel) put together with only the help of a red lip. I picked this one up on my travels and I’m absolutely obsessed with the texture and longevity. This lipstick is loaded with natural oils and wears ALL DAY. I’ve since bought more colours for the Fall season -- that’s how much I love the formula!

6)      MILK Face Gloss
Since I have the driest skin possible and usually am wanting to look glossy AF, I figured I’d give this a try. It highlights and brightens features with a vibrant glow and comes in a travel friendly tube. I recommend applying with a synthetic brush as this is beyond intense and a little goes a long way.
I get so many compliments on my skin when I wear it and make everyone believe that I woke up like thisđŸ˜‰

From a Canadian girl with only 5 weekends of summer left, I wish you all an incredible summer with your family and friends.
In the meantime, you can find me on Instastories documenting my travels @the_greyrose
