Simplicity + Style + Soul

I tried The Ordinary and this happened...

Founded by skin care enthusiasts who were fed up with the lack of integrity in the beauty industry, The Ordinary takes clinically proven ingredients, formulates them for effectiveness, and offers them at fair prices.
The result? Honest, high-quality skin care that’s anything but ordinary.
Free of mineral oils, parabens and sulphates, this is honest skincare at its best.
The effectiveness of The Ordinary's serums and oils has taken the beauty industry by storm. With simple packaging and the majority of the line being intermixable, beauty gurus unite for this one of a kind brand, which offers guaranteed results.

Throughout this past summer, I’ve been testing the range with products suitable for my skincare needs. With recent changes in regards to my health, my skin type has changed. I’m now a combination skin with dryness and oily areas.
This has been more challenging than I thought. I’ve determined that it’s very difficult to find a skincare range that addresses all my concerns—under budget.

During the past four months, I’ve seen dramatic changes in the texture, tone and overall appearance in my skin. I now rarely breakout or have issues with dry patches.
To say I’m impressed is an understatement.

I have tested the following items:
-       The Buffet: A multi-peptide, water-based serum with an array of anti-aging technologies. This one is fabulous under make up. If I feel like skipping primer, I reach for this first.
-       Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%:  is a water-soluble derivative of Vitamin C. I’ve seen a change in the overall tone and brightness of my skin.
-       Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2%: an alpha hydroxyl acid that exfoliates the skin. This 5% formulation offers very mild exfoliation. If you suffer from skin texture, this would be a great option if you’re looking to dip your toes in the acids family. No stinging or burning sensation at all.

-       Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA: are elements that keep the outer layer of the skin protected and well-hydrated. Confession – I already have broken into my back up stash. Love this stuff!

What’s interesting is that I’ve ignored my high end skincare, in preference for The Ordinary range.
While I do enjoy my old skin care favorites, I’ve been beyond happy to experiment and discover a product lineup; that’s less than half price of what I already own. Crazy, right?!

I hope this gives you an idea of what to expect if you’re in the market to try something new or you’ve been curious about The Ordinary range.
