New In - Maybelline Dream Cushion Foundation

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve tried a new foundation!
The past few weeks, I’ve been scooping out most of the new Spring beauty launches and was most excited to try the new Maybelline Dream Cushion Foundation.
I’ve never tried a cushion foundation so I thought this would be the best one to try, since its drugstore priced and claims to enhance your skins natural glow and radiance; while providing undetectable coverage.

If you’re new to my blog, I have a pale to fair complexion and my skin is on the drier side therefore; I love a dewy and luminous finish for a foundation.
All I wanna do is glow.
I also prefer a medium to full coverage effect for day to day wear.
Needless to say-- I’ve been very interested in seeing if a cushion will do the job.

The first thing I noticed at the drug store is the shade selection; there are only 8 shades in the range. I usually look between the first few fairest colours with a yellow undertone. These tend to complement the undertones in my skin and look the most natural. I ended up purchasing the “Porcelain” 10 shade.

Since I’m a gal on the go, I love the packaging. I travel quite a bit for my day job and this product is truly for “on-the-go” wear and application. Inside the compact, you have a decent sized mirror plus an application sponge designed to carry the product to your face. I like the fact that there’s a cover that keeps the liquid and the mirror section separate, so there’s no chance of having a mess on your hands while travelling.

I decided since I apply my regular foundation with a sponge, I’d take the same route applying the cushion to my face. I dabbed the sponge and was surprised at the amount of product it picked up. Once applied to the face, I was shocked at the impact of coverage it had.
Being impressed, I continued to apply and this created such a glowy and luminous finish to the face.
The best part-- it wore for 7 full hours without any touch ups.

If you’re looking for a new foundation or curious about cushion foundations, in general, this one is at the top of my list to check out!
