L'Oreal Pro-Glow Infallible - Foundation Review

Throughout the last few years, finding the right foundation has always been a challenge for me.
I believe shopping for the perfect base, can take time and can cost an insane amount of money - if you're not careful.

When shopping around for foundation, its important to understand what your skin needs and the type finish you're looking to achieve. Since I have dry and sensitive skin, I mostly look for bases that offers hydration, are lightweight in feel, gives an all-over dewy appearance and provides longevity.

I am happy to share with you, this hidden prize at the drugstore. The L'Oreal Pro-Glow Infallible foundation.

I was away in the US a few weeks ago and discovered the Pro-Glow everywhere in their local drugstores. I was surprised and excited to finally get my hands on it, as I've only heard the online beauty community debate their opinions on the new range. The next day, I decided to apply and it was everything I hoped it would be.

This does not feel or look like a drugstore foundation. This looks and feels, like a high end base and is absolutely gorgeous on the skin. It is luminous and leaves you with all the glow you could ever want. The texture is lightweight and does not look cakey, whatsoever. It also has an SPF of 15 and apparently stays put for 24hrs.
I have never tested this 24 hour claim and don't recommend you do, but I can say it has lasted a minimum of 10 hours before it started to wear in certain areas.

My shade was also spot on. I'm in shade 202 Creamy Natural and it suits my yellow toned, fair skin perfectly.

My favorite way to apply this and any liquid foundation, is with a Beauty Sponge. I use the Real Techniques range and love the shape and effect of this sponge. The flat surface is perfect for an all over base and the pointed tip is great for concealer under the eyes and around the nose. I also enjoy the Real Techniques Expert Face brush as well. I have tried both options and the brush is just as nice in effect.

The other additions I suggest to anyone looking for longevity in a foundation, is a primer and great setting spray.
I discovered this primer earlier in the year and I love the longevity I get from The Body Shop InstaBlur. This 5 action perfecting primer, goes on clear and helps with the longevity of the foundation around my nose and chin area.

Since I crave a dewy, well hydrated and stay put look, I am obsessed with the Chill Zone setting spray from Urban Decay. I cannot tell you how many bottles of this stuff I have been through in the last year. It acts like hairspray but for makeup!
I highly recommend if you are a working professional who needs their makeup to look great all day or if you have to attend a formal event and need to make sure your makeup stays in check.
